In 1999, the County Board of Supervisors approved a Strategic Plan that outlined the County’s Mission and Vision. The plan also established areas of strategic priority for focused collaborative efforts headed by the County’s executive leadership to achieve the mission and realize the vision. This was the foundation for the current Performance Measures program.
Performance Measurement is a concept that has been adopted by the Board of Supervisors and is currently being put into practice. Performance Measurement will help us tell an important story of "how well are we doing?" at accomplishing our objectives that are vital to the residents and businesses of Sacramento County. With this data we can explore efficiencies and effectiveness of programs and make modifications to service delivery as appropriate.
